🧡 Go Orange for PWS Day – Date Change Announcement! 🧡
We’re excited to share an important update about Go Orange for PWS Day!
After thoughtful discussion, our SUAS subcommittee (made up of adults with PWS) has voted to move Go Orange for PWS Day to May 15th each year.
Previously, we recognised this special day on the last Friday of May. However, the new date holds powerful meaning — Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is caused by a difference on the 15th chromosome, making the 15th a deeply significant choice.
By moving to May 15th, we strengthen the connection between awareness and the genetic foundation of PWS, while centering the voices and leadership of adults living with PWS in this decision.
📅 Mark your calendars: May 15th
🧡 Wear orange
🧡 Raise awareness
🧡 Celebrate and support the PWS community
Thank you for continuing to stand with us and help shine a light on PWS!

Have you ever noticed the three balloons in our logo? 🎈
They represent something very important—the journey through life for people with Prader-Willi syndrome.
Childhood, Teen years & Adulthood
The balloons remind us that with the right support, understanding and care, individuals with PWS can continue to grow, learn and thrive at every stage of life.

We’d love to see schools across Ireland take part by wearing orange, having conversations about inclusion and getting creative in the classroom.
