Ait Shona (Happy Place in Irish) is the name given to the PWS respite service or as it is fondly called amongst the many children and adults with Prader Willi Syndrome who have stayed there, The PWS Holiday House.
Provided by Resilience Healthcare, it opened it’s doors in September 2024 and has welcomed many children, teenagers and adults with PWS to enjoy a home-away-from-home holiday.
As Henry T stated in his speech at the opening of Ait Shona ‘ one of the best things about Ait Shona is the locked kitchen and they (the Resilience team) know about our food!’
