The Race Around Ireland is a non-stop 2,200 km bicycle race that circumnavigates the island of Ireland anti-clockwise. In January 2014, a group of cyclists from Maynooth Students for Charity Cycling Club (who organise the Galway Cycle) decided to take on the challenge. This is the story, as told through the recollections of the participants, of how a bunch of Average Joes conquered the race and set a new Irish record time. The team chose to use the race to help raise awareness of Prader-Willi syndrome and are now very generously donating all profits from the book to PWSAI.

We think it deserves to become a best-seller! Buy your copy here.

PWSAI NAMED GALWAY CYCLE 2014 CHARITY!

10 October 2013 // For over a quarter of a century Maynooth Students for Charity have organised an annual cycle from Maynooth to Galway. The Galway Cycle is now a major fundraising event and has, to date, raised over €1,000,000. PWSAI is honoured and delighted to have been named as the Galway Cycle Charity for 2014. We look forward to a fantastic event next March that will enable us to both raise awareness about PWS and raise funds to support those with PWS in Ireland. Thank you to all involved!
